On this episode we focused on the unfortunate fact that abuse rates are rising in this pandemic. We revisited our interview with WVU experts about their new Handle With Care abuse reporting guidelines. Then, we spoke with April Morefield of the Care Center of Southwest VA and found out all they do to help children that have been abused. We wrap up with an interview with Kathy Rahall and Kim Smith from The Women's Center of Mercer Co. Foundation along with Det. Adams from the Bluefield, WV PD where they explained the lack of and urgent need for a women's shelter in Mercer County.
