On this episode, funds from WV's opioid settlement money will be used to bolster a project building a new Mercer Co. Sheriff's office, this follows a trend in WV cities and towns, and highlights an argument about whether or not this is the best way to spend this money. Then, the WV legislature is still hard at work and today's top priorities seem to be lowering our water quality at the behest of big business and finding out who else is in the bathroom with them. Then, on the national level huge cuts and mass firings have now hit the Dept. of Education leaving many students & parents wondering this will affect their education and funding like PELL Grants and Student Loans. Finally, as the Trump Administration seeks to more or less disappear a green card holding citizen for protesting, I'm wondering how folks are going to defend this one. I know they will, mindlessly, just not sure HOW exactly.
