On this episode, I was lucky enough to be part of a telethon to help flood victims in the 2 Virginias and I wanted to start by thanking those involved and those who donated to the cause. Then, it was time for our "Scam of the Week" with Laura Blankenship of the Better Business Bureau, who told us about fake store closing sale scams. Recently, shoppers of Joann Fabrics were targeted and tricked by fake online outlets looking to get people's card numbers. Finally, a meme is making the rounds claiming DOGE cancelled a $600,000 study about transgender men's periods. It wasn't about that at all, but a few hot-button words cost a world full of women some important research that could save lives.
