What’s Next 467 (The Grind Stops, Billie Roberts, WV Roads/Fed Money, Your Brain on Pong)

On this episode, a look behind the scenes at what went wrong with a public /private partnership and lead to the announced closure of the local coffee shop known as The Grind. I spoke with Billie Roberts, who served as the Community Director for the town of Bluefield, VA and as the Secretary of the Industrial Development Authority during the period of time the arrangements were made with the town, the IDA, and the business. Then, I discuss the $750 million a year for 5 years in federal money that is slated for WV roads. Finally, a terrifying experiment taught brain cells in a dish to play the video game Pong. No, really.
