What’s Next 396 (The Language Of Politics, Let The Kids Talk, Hope Duncan, Jacki Bentley)

On this episode, I had Jacki Bentley in the studio with me as we discussed the battle over what we call things. Right now it's insurrection vs. riot, but so often the battle in the court of public opinion rests on the weight of the words we choose to describe things. We talk about the semantics and also the PR & Marketing people who are probably shaping our language. Then, we talk about probably the one group of people who hasn't had their say since the most recent school shooting, the kids. How do we talk with them about something that we're having enough trouble figuring out as adults? Finally, an interview with Hope Duncan (Director of Public Relations for Hospice of Southern West Virginia) about the Friends of Charity Auto Show. They're having a sneak peek car show this weekend to get ready for the big event in July. She tells me what all is happening and we also talk about the important cause they're raising money for. There's even a valuable vocabulary lesson along the way.
