On this episode, I talk about a man who knows just about everyone in his small town, settles their legal disputes, officiates their weddings, and also had to identify the bodies of their children and one of his former classmates in Uvalde, Texas. Then, I talk about yet another local shooting that echoes the stories we hear nationally. After that, as Summer approaches, WV Gov. Jim Justice's Lyme Disease diagnosis reminds us that we should be careful. I talk about what to look for and how to safely remove a tick, if need be. Finally, Hope Scholarships have taken over $12 million out of WV Public schools and put them in the hands of parents and/or private or charter schools. With 122 Mercer Co. students being awarded the scholarship, I ponder what Mercer Co. might have been able to do with the over $500,000 that went along with those kids.
