On this episode, with Southern Regional Jail again in the spotlight, I take a moment to talk about what a strain the regional jail system puts on counties, and the strain the system itself is under, meanwhile counties can't do much and the state has locked itself into this seemingly unsustainable system. After that, I take a moment to compare the pros and cons of real trees vs. fake trees. Finally, I spoke with Mercer County Commissioner Greg Puckett about the prices that counties pay for the regional jails, how they're only going up, and what counties CAN do in hopes of making it better.
